Tideway projects are generating three acres of fresh public spaces along the River Thames across several distinct locations. Notably, the Victoria and Blackfriars sites are part of this initiative. Sections of the newly developed areas at Victoria and Chelsea Embankments, as well as at King Edward Memorial Park, have been designed to be ‘floodable’ during high tides. This provides Londoners with a unique opportunity to experience the cleaner River Thames by allowing them to dip their toes in the water for the first time.
